Path of Exile (PoE) - How to Fix Latency and Ping Spikes

The manual covers a great deal of different important points that needs to be followed to handle this pesky lag. We advocate using Kill Ping to your greatest lag-free knowledge in Path of Exile but also recommend that you stick to the guide below to find the most from your game too.

Path of Exile is not a brand new game and for this reason, will not create problems for your PC to perform with. But, there are several minimal requirements in order for it to play otherwise it might result in FPS drops, game crashes, and inevitable lag problems. To conquer, it's far better to be aware of what the game specifications would be to learn whether you lack something.

Now moving into the comprehensive facets of lag and how to resolve these, the first best thing you can do is put your production_config. ini.

Click 'Properties' and navigate local game documents.

You might be asked about the proper program to start it. Now simply pick notepad.

Press CTRL-F and locate DISPLAY from the document. You'll have the ability to observe that the Graphics Adapter that's used by your computer to conduct the Path of Exile. Once you set the parameters shown below;

Do be sure to establish your in-game images as the image provided below. Hopefully, you may witness a positive decrease in the Path of Exile lag.

Since the in-game lag as a result of images and PC specs are discussed previously, here we'll recommend you look after the things linked to the software side which could be contributing to lag in the Path of Exile.

To start with, be certain that you turn off your Firewall settings. If you can not do this, then do make sure to include the Path of Exile from the list of exceptions to the Firewall. The main reason this is being highlighted is that in most instances Windows Firewall always prevents the Path of Exile from communication over the net which generates enormous ping delay and spikes.

We also strongly advise that you to close all desktop downloads such as the stuff you're downloading in the torrent. Pausing or stopping downloads will not make a difference because torrents always upload/seed files over others. The only way around would be to shut any torrent application through the time that you need to perform with.

I am running i7 8750H and gtx 1070 with g sync and im lagging on minimum graphics. every time the inpulsa explodes i drop to 0 fps. i installed c cleaner deleted the temporary files, registries, there is as option there for the dns flush too. plus im sure the network settings in the ui is also makes a huge difference. i have no idea why a network setting has to be in the ui tab. thank you so much man!
